Collections Litigation Associate
Boston, MA | Full-Time | Direct Hire
Hybrid – Just 1 Day in Office Per Week!!
Salary: $90–$140K+ Depending on Experience

Looking for a unique opportunity to grow your litigation practice within a highly specialized firm?

An established Boston-based law firm is looking to add a Collections Litigation Associate to its team. Uniquely positioned as one of only a handful of firms in Boston specializing in labor union benefit representation, this practice offers attorneys the opportunity to work on a specialized and meaningful area of law while developing strong litigation and client-management skills.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 2+ years of collections experience who is looking for substantial responsibility, independence, and direct client interaction. Attorneys are given the opportunity to manage their own matters, develop litigation strategies, and handle cases from initial assessment through post-judgment enforcement.

Enjoy a highly flexible hybrid schedule with just ONE day per week in the Boston office!

Candidates with collections experience across any industry or client base are encouraged to apply. Experience involving employee-benefit funds, labor unions, or ERISA is particularly valuable.

What You'll Do
  • Manage a portfolio of collection and litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Develop strategies for pursuing outstanding debts and enforcing judgments.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation-related documents.
  • Handle post-judgment enforcement proceedings, including liens, attachments, and other collection remedies.
  • Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and other involved parties.
  • Monitor case progress, deadlines, and enforcement opportunities.
  • Provide strategic guidance and updates to clients throughout the collection process.
What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of collections experience required.
  • Active Massachusetts Bar admission required.
  • Additional bar admissions throughout New England and/or New York are a plus.
  • Experience with post-judgment enforcement, including liens and attachments, strongly preferred.
  • Background involving labor unions, employee-benefit funds, or ERISA is a plus.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and client-service abilities.
  • Ability to independently manage matters and prioritize competing deadlines.
