Are you a passionate Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) looking for a flexible part-time opportunity? We're seeking an educator who is committed to fostering growth, curiosity, and confidence in children and is comfortable commuting between our Eagleson and Barrhaven locations to support operational needs for 16-24 hours a week.

Responsibilities

• Maintain documentation, reporting, and record keeping
• Implement an Emergent Curriculum
• Support children's emotional, physical, and behavioural well-being while fostering social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Maintain attendance records and complete daily health and safety checks
• Collaborate with professionals such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists
• Support children through classroom transitions and daily routines
• Meet all classroom ratios as outlined in the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA)
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
• Provide coverage and support at both the Eagleson and Barrhaven centres as required

Qualifications

• Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) and in good standing
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification
• Up-to-date immunization records and two-step TB test
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 45 lbs
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between Eagleson and Barrhaven locations

Position Details

• Part-Time Position- 16 to 24 hours a week
• Kids & Company Locations: Kanata Eagleson & Ottawa Barrhaven, Ontario
• Flexible availability required based on centre needs
